Authentic Maltese &

Mediterranean Cuisine

The Origin

Launched by brothers Byron and Conrad Żarb, Trattoria Da Manuele is dedicated to their grandfather Manuel, lovingly known as Leli Żarb in the quaint village of Mġarr.

The brothers’ love of food and local produce began at a young age, when they used to visit their nannu’s farm. Growing up around this environment inspired them to embark on this journey and unveil their restaurant serving authentic Maltese and Mediterranean cuisine.

With over 20+years of culinary experience, Byron is a master chef with a passion for innovative creations. While Byron is in charge of the kitchen, Conrad manages the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

At Trattoria Da Manuele, we stay true to our heritage and strive to deliver hearty dishes and exceptional service at a great value for money. We want you to feel right at home.

Kindly note that we are fully booked for Christmas and New Years Day for both lunch & dinner

Locally Sourced Goods

We believe that using great ingredients results in great meals. And there’s no better produce than local.
At Trattoria Da Manuele, only the best locally sourced goods make their way into our dishes.

Bebbux are a traditional appetiser that are just as desired amongst locals as they are in other Mediterranean countries such as France and Spain.

Harvested mainly during the rainy seasons, our Bebbux are served with a fresh aromatic sauce.

A time-honoured dish, Kirxa is a cherished part of our culture that has been around for many years.

Also known as tripe, our Baked Kirxa is an excellent source of lean protein and makes for a delectable starter.

Undoubtedly a beloved meal in Malta, local rabbit is a delicious and popular specialty at Trattoria Da Manuele.

Our authentic recipe delivers a perfectly tender and flavourful rabbit for both locals and foreigners to enjoy.
